Church Family,
This past Sunday, Genesis took a drastic turn considering all that chapters one and two have put before us. Genesis three is a foundational piece to our understanding of “why” the world is not as we would like it to be. As we looked at what is called “The Fall,” we were encouraged not to make the story only about Adam and Eve, but to see it as our story as well. We are the same in terms of placing ourselves above God’s rule and reign, not believing He is trustworthy. That’s the overarching lie they believed; that God is not trustworthy. Brothers and Sisters, though this sounds simplistic, it is profound, because God said it, that’s enough. May we no longer hide in our self-confidence but trust in God’s goodness.
