Partnership

In May of 2018 our church partnered with the North American Mission Board in an effort to get support in Replanting Light in the Desert Church. This decision was driven by a sense of God’s movement here and throughout the entire United States to revive dying churches; to resurrect churches to a new life of gospel growth. We couldn’t be more excited to see how God is graciously breathing new life into Light in the Desert Church.

Final Chapter of Jacob

Church Family, As we watched Jacob's narrative in Genesis come to a close on Sunday, we learned a few things (Genesis 35).  First, the longer we walk with God, the more maturity we should see in our lives.  Time is one of the greatest tools God has to grow us and our...

Unsightly Moments of Scripture

Church Family, What a Sunday!  Genesis 34 is indeed a difficult chapter, but I'm so grateful for a church that does not shy away from hard passages and wants to dig into God's word to understand.  The story of Dinah is one of terrible mistreatment and blind justice....

Giving Forgiveness

Church Family, Sunday was another wonderful time together!  The story of Jacob and Esau is full of grace and forgiveness, both of which are overwhelming when we experience them.  Jacob experiences them as he finally meets Esau face to face (Gen 33).  In this section,...

Wrestling

Church Family, The last two weeks have felt particularly helpful for us all.  As we've been closely examining Jacob's transition into being named Israel, we have seen much in his life that mirrors our own (Gen 32).  We specifically saw Sunday Jacob wrestling with God...

Seeking Forgiveness

Church Family, As followers of God, we inevitably will show with our life the effects of His work through God the Son. We are a people who have been changed, and that change will and must alter the way we live. One such change is the willingness to seek forgiveness...

This is so good to see!!!! One of the best things a Church can do is spend time together. Heb. 10:25. Awesome keep it going.

Our women had a brunch to kickoff the start of our fall Wednesday activities. These classes are not just another thing to add to your busy schedule. We want you to have a thriving and growing relationship with God and have a vast network of friends and community to help push you to rely on him more and more. That is why we have these different opportunities to be with other brothers and sisters in Christ. We hope that you will join us! Child care will be provided for the Wednesday night classes.

Sunday’s sermon was about Stephen’s speech about stubbornness and God’s faithfulness despite it.
Your stubbornness will only doom you to a life of misery. You’ll be enraged, grind your teeth at the things that do not support your selfish agenda, resist the Holy Spirit, and other believers will just be people who will rub you the wrong way.
